The production of poly(hydroxylalkanoates) (PHA) is limited by the high cost feedstock since various biomass wastes look attractive as possible sources for polymer production. originality this present study in biotransformation mixed Chlorella-based substrates into PHAs. synthetic potential Cupriavidus necator B8619 cells was studied during bioconversion algae mixtures with spent immobilized mycelium different fungi (genus Rhizopus and Aspergillus) both microalgae Chlorella fungus accumulated due to use microorganisms processes food wastewater treatment. biosorption fungal carried out obtain samples (the best ratio “microalgae:fungi” 2:1) convert them C. PHA. influence conditions used pretreatment types on their conversion PHA estimated. It found that maximum yield reducing sugars (39.4 ± 1.8 g/L) can be obtained from mechanical destruction using further enzymatic hydrolysis. effective complex revealed hydrolytic disintegration treated biomass. rate biopolymer (440 13 mg/L/h) appeared significantly higher compared similar known examples cells.
